12 soldiers to face court martial today

Nine soldiers and 3 officials of the national Army will appear before a court martial today at the Yundum Barracks, official sources said.
military source told The Standard yesterday that the trial will be an open court martial with the media invited, though there will be very limited space.

A few months ago, authorities rounded up a number of soldiers accused of engaging in mutinous and unethical acts.
The military high command said they are part of a group using WhatsApp to spread audio recordings that are “mutinous, defamatory, scandalous, unethical and against the military code of conduct.”
