The Silent Killer

By definition, a peptic ulcer is an open sore or raw area in the lining of the stomach or intestine. A gastric ulcer occurs in the stomach and a duodenal ulcer largely occurs in the first part of the small intestine and rarely in other parts of the small intestine.

The use of tobacco in all its various forms is escalating without boundaries. Smoking-related deaths are mainly due to cancers, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart disease.

A stroke usually occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or severely reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen and food and this is either due to fact that the blood supply is blocked or a blood vessel within the brain ruptures.
