2 GAMBIAN OFFICIALS, 1 ATHLETED MISSING C/WEALTH GAMES

Two coaches Modou Njie, Joko Colley and one athlete Aboulie Assin have gone missing at the Commonwealth Games in West Coast Australia impeccable sources confirmed yesterday. The Standard also confirmed that the trio were not part of the team members that arrived back from the games over the weekend.

Last night, The Standard tried calling Chef de Mission Mohammed Janneh for details but his phone was unreachable for most of the weekend.
A senior athletics official described the missing trio as a combination of Gambia’s brains in the sport. However he expressed caution that the trio are on valid visa until May 12 and it remains to be seen what will become of them.
