Four soldiers—who were arrested and detained at the Fajara Barracks for allegedly plotting to kill CDS Masanneh Kinteh—have been dismissed, The Standard was reliably informed.
The dismissed soldiers are lance corporals Lamin Sannneh, Ousman Jammeh, Lamin Touray and Ebrima Colley.
The GAF PRO Lamin Sanyang last week informed The Standard that the panel tasked to investigate the soldiers has completed their investigations and recommended disciplinary actions against the soldiers.
The initial number arrested was six but
Corporal Omar Camara, Lance Corporal Lamin E. Jarju and Manga Bah Warrant Officer Class 1 were later freed after they were questioned by the board.
However Lance Corporal Ebrima Colley was later included in the list after he was allegedly mentioned during the interrogation of the first arrestees.
GAF PRO Major Lamin Sanyang confirmed the dismissal of the four ‘as recommended by the panel’.
