The Ministry of Health has announced nine new Covid-19 related deaths and 32 people on oxygen therapy.
In their latest report on Covid between August 7 and August 9, nine people have died from Covid.

The ministry also said 157 new cases of Covid have been registered.
According to the situation report, the total number of deaths since March 2020 is now 254.
The report added that the dead ranged from 50-87 years and all had severe COVID-19 pneumonia with comorbidities and all were admitted in the COVID-19 treatment centres.

The 157 new cases registered took the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country to 8,920.
