ADAMA JAMMEH SMASHES GOLD IN PARIS MEETING

Adama Jammeh won gold in both 100 and 200 meters at the international athletics championship in France On July 2 to raise confidence in the Gambian team ahead of the world championships in London next month. Jammeh clocked a scintillating 10.43 in the 100 meters and 20.85 in the 200 meters much to the delight of The Gambia Athletics Association GAA officials who are busy preparing the team for the London world championship beginning early next month.” This is very encouraging,” said GAA president Dodou Joof.
In another development, the Gambian Under 20 relay team won silver at the recent African championship in Algeria.
