Top GSM Company Africell recently donated 25 sets of jerseys to different local football clubs in the Greater Banjul Area, West Coast and North Bank.
The event took place at the company’s head office on Kairaba Avenue.
The beneficiary teams are Bonto Kuta FC, BK Layout FC, Kerr Sering FC, Kotu FC, Ecowas FC, Mbullum FC, BK Central FC, Bilbao FC, Taba Bii Club, Luzern FC, Bantaba United FC, Late Njuga FC, United Stars, Uprising Stars FC, Babylon Football Club, Ajax Football Club, among many others.
Presiding over the event, Ronald Senghore, Director of Communications at Africell, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the jerseys. He further called on them to continue being advocates of sports in their various communities and regions.
Mbye Bittaye, Media Manager at Africell, said such events are a culture in Africell with a strong and long tradition of supporting sports.
The beneficiary teams expressed delight and appreciation for the support, commending Africell for its continuous contribution to the development of sports in the country.
