Speaking, the chairman of Brikama Area Council, Bakary Saibo Sanneh, said Badinyaa has been active in various areas of development which should inspire to other groups to contribute to the development of the community. He noted that the group has been particularly supporting the health facility in various means which is vital to enhancing the meeting of the healthcare needs of the people.
The BAC boss who is also the councillor of Kusamai added: “Badinyaa has been engaged in cleaning exercises at the health facility as well as donating materials. They should be motivated and supported as they are doing the work of the council as a local service provider in the region. I will discuss with the management in order to come up with support towards the, ‘2015 Brickstown Fiesta’ which is aimed at raising funds for the Brikama Health Centre.”
Mam Sait Jallow, the chief executive officer of the council noted that they will always partner with Badinyaa because ‘they are a youth body with a difference’ adding that ‘helping the health facility is a noble gesture’. ”The council has indeed endorsed your efforts in promoting the welfare of the facility and we will do all our best to promote your ideology which is ”A Healthy Nation is a Wealthy Nation,” he said.
For his part, Alieu Darboe, national coordinator of Badinyaa told the authorities that their wish is to promote and contribute their quota in the national development effort of government. ”The young volunteers believe that in order for any meaningful development to take place, people must first have good health, and we will continue supporting the health facility through our monthly cleaning exercises and the donation of materials,” he said.
Earlier, Councillor Pa Amadou Manneh of Nyambai said the group is among the best recognised in the region given their willingness and high sense of focus towards development. He stated that Badinyaa is a group composed of committed and dedicated members who are only interested in the development of the region and the country as a whole.
Dembo Kambi, chairperson of West Coast Region Youth Development Committee appealed to the authorities to partner with Badinyaa in order for them to continue doing the good work they rendering to the community.]]>
