Members of the Barroba Bonsungolula Kafoo yesterday issued a statement to clarify that their group should not be confused with the President Barrow Youth Movement.
The statement signed by Saikou A Barrow, president of the Kafoo, said their group which embraces all Barrow family name in Gambia, Senegal, Mali, the two Guineas and beyond, has been in existence for five years and is non-political.
“We are only interesting in propagating Islam and strengthening the bond among the Barrow family across the region and beyond and even though President Adama Barrow is a member and has our support, it is not part of Barrow Youth Movement as some people wrongly perceived,” the statement said.
