Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) a charity involved in supporting Gambian communities on health and education matters on Thursday donated medical items worth D250, 000.00 to the New Yundum Health Centre.
The items were donated at the health center where they also donated materials to their sponsored students; 2 at New Yundum Lower Basic School, 15 at Siffoe, 53 at St. Therese’s; 15 at Latri-Kunda, 35 at Nyodema Nursery, and 20 at Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School
Another school, Widdar Nusrey School in Kotu Quarry received donations of educational materials.
Patrick De Vos, chairman of the group said his charity is committed to promoting quality health care delivery in The Gambia and he is hopeful that the donations will contribute to making a difference in the lives of the vulnerable within New Yundum catchment communities.
“We always want to bring hope to the Gambian people and we want also to improve their lives hence our principle of sharing and caring. We believe assisting New Yundum Health Center with medicaments is something great,” Patrick said.
The beneficiary communities and schools thanked Belgian Friends of The Gambia (BFoTG) for their humanitarian generosity.
