Brikama beat an enterprising Gunjur side 2-1 last night in one of Group B’s three fixtures played on Day 3 of the Super Nawettan. The Saatayba boys were always tipped for all three points but met with stiff resistance from Gunjur who lost a player to an early red card.
Serekunda East missed chances of goal opportunities and home support after being forced to a goalless draw in the other fixture against Sukuta.
It was all square too at SereKunda West where Bakau were held to a 1-1 draw against BEM. The result means Brikama tops the group with three points while the remaining five teams in the group cling on to a single point each. Today is a rest day in the programme but action resumes tomorrow with wounded Brufut taking on Banjul at Manjai, Serekunda West meeting Central at the Serekunda West park while Lamin meets Manjai at SK East park.
