Cultural African Preservation (CAP), a respected organisation dedicated to empowering African communities, based in the Bronx, New York has appointed Alpha Karaga the CEO of Star TV and Star Radio as its Cross-Cultural Ambassador for Arts, Heritage & Global Peace.
According to a press release issued by CAP, the appointment recognises Karaga’s outstanding leadership, integrity, and commitment to community empowerment.
“This appointment recognises your leadership, integrity, and exceptional commitment to community empowerment. Your work reflects the values of our organisation and strengthens our mission to preserve culture, empower communities, and build bridges across generations and nations,” the group wrote to Mr Karaga.
As a Cross-Cultural Ambassador, Karaga will play a key role in promoting unity, heritage, and cultural awareness, supporting CAP’s initiatives in community education and empowerment, and representing CAP at cultural, humanitarian, and international engagement events.
Karaga’s role will also involve advocating for peace, social development, and intercultural collaboration. “We are confident that your influence and leadership will continue to uplift communities and create meaningful impact across the Diaspora,” CAP said of Karaga.
CAP’s mission includes counseling and mentorship, girls’ empowerment, college outreach, women’s leadership development, and community education and advocacy through culturally responsive programmes.
