A mediation initiated by the civil society in the Senegal crisis has led to the release of 106 political detainees. Last weekend, civil society organisations announced that the authorities have made the commitment to ease political tensions.
Among the released detainees are 86 from Rebeuss, 2 from Penal Camp and 18 from Mac de Mbour. Most of them were provisionally released by a judge at the Dakar Regional Court and there are some who are required to wear electronic bracelets.
