Alieu Ceesay, Secretary General of the Association, said The Kairaba Beach Hotel fittingly suits the grand scheme of plan for this year’s event, the 6th edition.
“This year’s ceremony is expected to be very big and will be graced by prominent personalities from within and outside the country. The main centre piece of awards will be the decoration of the great Zone team of The Gambia and Senegal as well as the celebration of African referee of the year, Bakary Papa Gassama,” Ceesay said.
He called on all Gambians, the private and government institutions to come forward and book tables for the dinner and awards night to celebrate Gambian sports and put their services and products to public attention.
Sports journalists from Senegal are also going to join in celebrating The Gambia’s legends.
