Court issues warrant of arrest on two bank officials

Police prosecutors charged that Omar Jassey and Muhammed Dibbasey sometime in the month of December last year in the city of Banjul and diverse places conspired among themselves to steal the property of Guaranty Trust Bank. Prosecutors further alleged that the duo in the same month and year whilst working at the said bank as cashiers stole an amount of one million dalasi being the property of the said bank. Immediately after the case was mentioned, the prosecutor, Corporal 3962 Jobe applied for a warrant of arrest to enable them arrest the accused persons who are at large and bring them before the court to answer the charges levelled against them. The application was granted and the matter was adjourned to June 2.
