Banjul, Feb 17 – The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean island, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, congratulated their counterparts from The Gambia, Adama Barrow, and Mamadou Tangara, in separate messages sent on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the independence of this West African nation.
The respective letters for the celebration this February 18th of that momentous event for The Gambia, were sent through diplomatic channels through the embassy of the Greater Antilles here.
In his text, Diaz-Canel Bermúdez congratulates President Barrow for the celebration of the new anniversary of the Independence of his country, and expresses the will of Cuba to continue developing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples and governments.
For his part, Rodriguez Parrilla conveyed Tangara’s cordial congratulations, and reaffirmed the willingness of the Antillean island to strengthen the historic bonds of brotherhood and collaboration between the two nations.
