Two groups from the football divide in GFF matters have been negotiating for a consensus on the composition of the next GFF executive committee. The talks which are now into the third week are said to have moved towards a breakthrough over the weekend with a list of names for the various positions now reportedly agreed on by both parties.
Yesterday The Standard contacted a few of the men said to be in the list. However, one of them said he was not aware of the matter while another refused to comment. The Standard contacted the National Sports Council whose official said they are not yet aware of any such deal and could not comment on it.
A delegate at the talks speaking on condition of anonymity confirmed there was a proposal but said the agreement is that the details must first be put to the stakeholders as well as the National Sports Council before it is made public.
