DLEAG apprehends 2 with suspected drugs at Yelli-Tenda

Officers of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) recently apprehended two Senegalese nationals at Yelli-Tenda checkpoint in the LRR.

Ousman Saidyba, the public relations officer of DLEAG, said Bamba Diatta, 25, a resident of Bignona and Talla Sene Saidy, 29, a resident of Dakar, were arrested with 9 parcels of suspected cannabis wrapped in papers, concealed in a plastic bag and placed in a traveling bag weighing two (2) kilograms and five hundred (500) grams.

“Bamba Diatta, the principal suspect is charged with possession of the prohibited drug for the purpose of drug trafficking, also for conspiracy, attempting aiding, and abetting the commission of drug-related offenses. Talla Sene Saidy on the other hand, is charged with conspiracy, attempt aiding, and abetting the commission of drug-related offenses,” he said.

According to PRO Saidyba, both suspects are in custody while an investigation into the matter continues.
