Lamin Lang Sanyang who is being tried on charges of forgery and making documents without authority was granted bail in a sum of D500, 000 with two Gambian sureties with a landed property within the Greater Banjul Area after his defence lawyer Dayo Small filed a motion demanding for his release on bail which was not objected by the state deputy director of public prosecution, MB Abubacarr.

Mr Sanyang according to the state prosecutors falsely made and signed a death certificate attesting to the cause of death of Solo Sandeng. Prosecutors further alleged that Mr Sanyang not being a pathologist, and without lawful authority made and signed a death certificate in respect of Ebrima Solo Sandeng and thereby committed an offence. Mr Sanyang and his other colleagues however are yet to enter their plea as their lawyers objected to the charges citing irregularities in the indictment.

The other remaining accused persons are Yankuba Badgie, Louie Richard Leese Gomez, Saihou Omar Jeng, Baboucarr Sallah, Yusupha Jammeh, Haruna Susso, Tamba Mansary and Lamin Darboe.
