At a presentation ceremony at the Brikama Box Bar mini stadium, Ms Vilma Larsson Boman said female football is dear to her heart as she was herself a player whose career was cut short by illness. The football kits were collected through a Facebook page she created to appeal for assistance in her town on behalf of the Brikama girls.
Samuel Mendy, Brikama United female team coach thanked Vilma Larsson Boman descrbing her gesture as timely and solving a long term need of his team. The donation was preceded by a training session in which Vilma played with the Brikama United girls. The ceremony was witnessed by Brikama Youth and Sports executive members.
