Pa Harry Jammeh, a former Solicitor General and Legal Adviser, has said that members of his family were victimized under the former regime.
Speaking at the burial of his brother and former IGP Benedict Jammeh at Kanilai on April 26, Pa Harry said people must understand that members of his family including the deceased were also victims of the former regime and are ready to work with the new government to achieve reconciliation across the country.
He further said that before his demise, the late Ben had been hoping for an opportunity to work under the new government as a loyal and patriotic citizen.
The former Solicitor General and Legal Adviser assured of his unflinching support to the new government.
It could be recalled that Ben Jammeh served in various capacities in the Second Republic including as IGP, DG NIA and DG NDEA before falling out with ex-President Jammeh and fleeing the country. Pa Harry also served as Solicitor General and Legal Adviser, before his sacking and imprisonment.
