By Lamin Cham A ton of groundnut will fetch D17, 500 at all designated selling points, seccos, according to a statement from the National Food Security Processing & Marketing Corporation (NFSC), formerly Gambia Groundnut Corporation. The Corporation further announced that the deport price will be D19, 000, revealing that these prices were determined after consultation with the Government of The Gambia. In the same statement, the Corporation informed all stakeholders that the season will start on Monday 17th December 2018 and will close on 10th March, 2019. The NFSC urged all to take their groundnuts to the CPMS for sale as soon as possible to avoid damage, especially insect infestation as the Corporation will not accept groundnuts that are infested.]]>
