A sub-inspector at Brikama Police Station told the local magistrates’ court on Friday that a former State Guard soldier, Yama Camara, went to the station with a cutlass and threatened to kill someone.

Ms Camara, a resident of Brikama Jamisa is contesting the charges. She was granted bail.

Giving his testimony, Sub-Inspector Colley told the court: “I could recall on the 15th October 2020, it was around 8pm to 9pm, when the accused Yama Camara, came to our station with a cutlass wrapped in a nylon bag. As she was talking to Superintendent Gas Sabally, she pulled out a cutlass and threatened to kill someone.” According to the witness, the people in the station were terrified as the accused was visibly agitated. Colley said Superintendent Sabally took the cutlass from Camara and placed it in her office.
