The Gambia Fire and Rescue Service has appointed Pateh Gibba, the assistant divisional fire officer as its new Public Relations Officer.
Gibba replaces Muhammad Drammeh, who has been transferred to Brikama Fire Station.
Mr Drammeh was the Department’s PRO until Pateh Gibba’s new assignment which effected on Tuesday July 24.
A statement from the Fire Service said the post of PRO is rotational.
Confirming his appointment to The Standard, the new spokesperson said: “The office I’m now running is very challenging and is an opportunity to grow and learn.”
He promised that he is ready to work with the media.
