A week-long summer camp organised by the Gambia Football Federation, GFF ended at the National Technical Training Center (NTTC) in Yundum over the weekend.
The five- day camp brought together forty students from across Senior Secondary schools from the KM, Banjul and West Coast Region who received training on football. It was staged in collaboration with Secondary Schools Sports Association as of the GFF’s mandate to develop Gambian football.
”Catch Them Young’ is part of our manifesto and as such we need the close collaboration of the education system and the schools to be able to achieve this dream,” GFF President Lamin Bajo had told participants and trainers gathering during the opening ceremony.
President Bajo also advised the students to take the camping seriously being the first of its nature. Earlier, GFF Grassroots and Youth football Manager Ebrima Nyassi congratulated the students for been able to make the shortlist for the first GFF Summer Camp. ‘We want to thank the GFF and the Schools Sports Association for all their efforts in putting together this program.
