Gambia establishes diplomatic relations with Nepal

 The Gambia has established diplomatic relations with the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal on Tuesday. The Gambia is the 170th country with which Nepal has established diplomatic relations.

The Gambia’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Ambassador Lang Yabou signed the joint communiqué with his Nepalese counterpart Ambassador Amrit Bahadur Rai at a brief ceremony at the Nepalese permanent mission at the United Nations, New York.

The two ambassadors also signed a joint letter informing UN secretary general António Guterres about the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On the occasion, the two ambassadors exchanged views to strengthen bilateral cooperation at national and multilateral settings particularly at UN forums for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
