Gambia registers 2 more Covid-19 cases

The Ministry of Health has revealed that two people, who were under quarantine after returning from Senegal, have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the number of cases to 22.
Buba Darboe, a senior Ministry of Health staff confirmed to journalists yesterday: “As of today, we have registered two new confirmed laboratory cases, bringing the total number of cases confirmed in the country to 22. Both newly confirmed cases, a male and a female, have been in quarantine for recently returning to the country from Senegal”.
The country now has 12 active cases of the novel coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Senegal has 177 new cases of Covid-19 bringing the number in the French-speaking country to 1,886 and 19 reported deaths.
