The Street Children Empowerment Organisation (SCEO) has over the weekend donated clothes, bags, books, shoes and others worth hundred thousand dalasi to at least 400 children at Basori village.
Alkalo of Basori Village, Modou Jabang, said that many children at his village are under privileged; most of whose parents are very poor and cannot afford to meet their school needs.
He said the Organisation’s support will help to solicit them.

He said the donation will help make education easier for the children because they will not have difficulties to access books and pencils.
Jonathan Kaitell, Organisation’s president said they are working on projects to sponsor the children at their schools and also support them in some of their basic needs.
He said SCEO amongst its objectives is to reduce the rate of children living in the streets as well as support the underprivileged.

“We will also partner with development oriented organisations to effectively coordinate development projects”.
He renewed his promise to never surrender their services to meet up to the motto of the Organisation which is ‘driving sustainable development through children’s rights protection and empowerment.
Parents and loved ones of the beneficiaries thanked the Organisation for their support and expressed the need for more supports.
