Sprint sensation Sengan Jobe secured the first bronze, coming third with a time of 21.68, while Ebrima Marong put up another bronze medal performance finishing third in the 800 meter with a time of 1.52.88. The final bronze medal for The Gambia came through the Medley relay in which the quartet of Ebrima Marong, Sulayman Manneh, Momodou Sey and Segan Jobe came third.
Officials of the Gambia Athletics Association, GAA, yesterday commended the team for a good performance. ”This is very encouraging,” said GAA president Dodou Joof who attended the event as an organising delegate.
