Backed by the Gambia National Olympics Committee, GNOC, who are funding the trip, the GVA is sending both male and female teams to the Zone Two (Phase B) qualifiers that involve teams from Mauritania, Cape Verde, host Senegal and The Gambia.
Only the top finisher will progress to the next stage of this cumbersome and rigorous qualifying format.
According to Gambian officials the draw for the weekend programme will be done at a technical meeting before the action starts by Friday.
