With the national team’s fortune in decline the country is now pushing its domestic league players for possible international glory. The CHAN Nations Cup qualifier against Mali in July could be the litmus test for the team too and so the Gambia Football Federation GFF is taking no chances and has vowed to prepare the team with all what it takes.
Football House has called a match of the equals perhaps, a friendly against Guinea Bissau on Saturday.
The match to be played at 8 PM at the Stadium is called to provide coach Alagie Sarr and his team a chance to test themselves against international opposition ahead of the Mali match. With the nation now yearning for results and the much enjoyable international nights, how far can CHAN Gambia too go?
