Gambian migrant arrested in Italy for allegedly killing compatriot

Saikou Saidy, a native of Kekuta Kunda village in Baddibu District, North Bank Region has been arrested by the Italian police Monday in Potenza city for reportedly stabbing one Muhammed Barry, a native of Yundum, The Standard has been reliably informed.
Our source in Italy, who prefers anonymity, said Mr Saidy allegedly stabbed Muhammed two times with a knife.
The Standard also learned that both men went to Italy through the back-way.
Our source said Muhammed Barry arrived in Italy a year ago and was living in a reception centre.
The two men reportedly had a misunderstanding last Sunday which led to a fight.
Our source said after stabbing Barry, Mr Saidy hid in a room occupied by another Gambian asylum seeker in the reception centre where the police eventually arrested him after a thorough
