The CEO of Sunland Music, has recently worked with big names in the music industry such as Akon, Youssou N’Dour, Viviane Chidid. He was invited at the fraud squad office, police headquarters in Banjul to answer to some copyright violation complaints laid against him by Junior Don. Hakeem was first invited by the police on Tuesday, October 8 last year and recalled ten days later.  He reportedly fended off the complaints made against him by Junior Don.

The young Gambian musician’s management team led by his brother Sheikh Cham, lodged a complaint at the National Centre for Arts & Culture that they had contracted Hakeem to produce a song for them featuring Jaliba Kuyateh which they wanted to use on Junior Don’s album. They accused Hakeem of later using the same ‘beat’ for the songs of other artistes. They are claiming ownership of the beat because they said they paid Hakeem for it.

Junior Don’s management told this paper that they intend to secure the services of lawyer, Amie Bensouda, for litigation. They said they will be claiming compensatory damages of D6 Million from the former The Boyz star.
