Gambia’s ambassador to Mauritania presents credentials

Having been appointed by His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Adama Barrow as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of The Gambia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on 16TH May 2017, Ambassador Mawdo C. Juwara Tuesday 14th November presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott.

Ambassador Juwara was among seven other Ambassadors of the European
Union, Switzerland, Peru, Italy, Greece, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea who presented their Credentials to the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

Ambassador Juwara took the opportunity to thank His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia for appointing him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of The Gambia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and expressed his gratitude for the honour and privilege bestowed on him.

During the audience, Ambassador Juwara also avails himself of the opportunity to express his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency
Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for receiving him in so short a period after his arrival in the beautiful city of Nouakchott and conveyed to him and through him to the entire people of Mauritania, very warm and fraternal greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia and the Gambian people. Ambassador Juwara in the same vein conveyed President Adama Barrow’s ardent desire and resolve to further strengthen the fraternal and friendly historic ties between the peoples of The Gambia and Mauritania as well as the need to enhance the existing areas of bilateral cooperation and expand its scope in possible new avenues for the mutual benefit of the two sides.

In the same vein, His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz extended a good will message to His Excellency President Adama Barrow and the people of The Gambia. President Abdel Aziz also underscored the importance of the fraternal and historic ties between the peoples of the two countries.
