Gamtel/Gamcel Football Club have written history once again by lifting the 2017/18 League title deservedly. They beat Steve Biko 1-0 to put on an unassailable lead with two matches to spare. The confirmation of their title in that match epitomized a brilliant season in which Gamtel virtually dominate setting paces and refusing to lift their foot on the gas pedal despite a hot pursuit by trophy hungry Real De Banjul among others.
Last night fans paid tribute to the sterling performance and coaching acumen of Saul Kuyateh who is currently on a training trip abroad. According to GFF statistics Gamtel went unbeaten in 20 matches, drawing 8 and winning 12, which has proven to be more than enough to take the title.
GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo has swiftly congratulated Gamtel FC describing their success as a well merited title, given their consistency in the entire season .He personally singled out Head Coach Sulayman Kuyateh for special praises, and congratulated the players and the team management for a job well done.
