GDC campaign chairman quits for NPP

By Lamin Cham

Salifu Puye, the national campaign chairman of the opposition Gambia Democratic Congress, has left to join the National Peoples Party of President Adama Barrow.
Conforming this to The Standard yesterday, Mr Puye said he took the decision as an independent person to shift his allegiance to elsewhere and it has nothing to do with any bad blood, malice or dispute with any member of the GDC.

“I have already discussed this with the party’s national chairman Demba Sabally and we both received it with mutual understanding,” Mr Puye, a retired educationist and former regional Governor said.
