 By Omar Bah

As we went to press last night, it was confirmed that the Gambia Democratic Congress has expelled two sitting National Assembly Members over their allegiance to President Adama Barrow, an arch political nemesis of the GDC leader Mamma Kandeh. They are Kebba Jallow of Jarra Central and Salifu Jawo of Jokadu.

Party spokesman Omar Ceesay confirmed the expulsions. Ceesay also confirmed that the party has written to the clerk of the National Assembly informing him of the sacking of the two lawmakers.

Earlier, before the expulsions were announced, one of the expelled NAMs, Kebba Jallow, granted an interview to King FM radio station in which he claimed that it is the GDC that neglected and stopped informing him about party meetings and programmes.
