Speaking to The Standard yesterday, the mother, Binta Kassama, said her daughter Fatoumatta Saho also known ‘as Matta Bah’, left home for school on the morning of Tuesday 29 April and has not returned.
Mrs Kassama explained: “We do not know her whereabouts. We have reported the matter to police stations in Bakau, Kotu and Manjai. And we have also gone to the security guards at Senegambia. We do not know where she might and we are very worried about her whereabouts. She was in her school uniform when she left the house. She said she was going to school. Now, we are waiting for the police to tell us how far they’ve gone with their investigations. We have not yet heard anything from them.”
The 16-year-old’s friends who spoke to The Standard also claim to have no idea about the whereabouts of young Fatoumatta.
