An eight-year-old girl has told a court that a Mr Saikou Bah raped her seven times.
The young girl made this disclosure while testifying before Justice Ebrima Jaiteh at the Banjul High Court yesterday.
Bah has been charged with intentionally engaging in a sexual act with the little girl on 8th June 2021 at Sinchu Alagie in Kombo North District.
The little girl said she lived in the same building with Bah and that she is a playmate of his daughter.
She said that each time Bah violates her, he would give her five dalasis and she would go to the corner shop and buy chewing gum or candy.
She said after the last time Bah violated her, her mother asked her where she got the money to buy the gum she was chewing and she told her.
The little girl said she told her mother she came from Bah’s house and her mother sensing something underhand, undressed and checked her and then reported her being sexual assaulted to the police.
She said at the station, she narrated to the police what Mr Bah has been doing to her. Hearing continues.
