Press release
Gambia Milling Corporation Limited (GMC) has donated D370,000 to support the upgrade of dental services at the Ndungu Kebbeh Health Center, as part of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The contribution will be used to improve and equip the health center’s dental unit, enhancing access to essential oral healthcare services for communities across the North Bank Region.
The Ndungu Kebbeh Health Center serves more than forty surrounding communities and provides critical outpatient and maternal healthcare services. However, access to dental care in the area remains limited, with many residents unable to receive timely treatment for preventable oral health conditions.
Originally established and managed by ABWE as a Christian medical mission, the facility transitioned in 2023 under a strategic partnership with the Omega Foundation, a Gambian non-profit organization committed to providing compassionate, affordable healthcare and advancing community well-being. The Omega Foundation will oversee the renovation, equipment procurement, and integration of dental services into routine care.
Through this initiative, GMC aims to strengthen healthcare delivery capacity by enabling the provision of preventive and basic curative dental services, particularly benefiting women attending antenatal care and families in rural communities. GMC is The Gambia’s premier flour mill committed to supporting community development and improving the well-being of the populations it serves.
