Governors to get presidential boost

This information was disclosed in a press release made available to The Standard from the Office of the President .The designs of the office complexes will be accomplished through a competition, whose winner(s) will receive a prize of D1m or D750, 000. The full text of the release reads:

“The general public is hereby informed that the Office of the President has launched a competition to design a standard mansion and an office complex for Regional Governors. The mansion should have at least three master bedrooms, living room and five normal bedrooms, one of which will be a guest room. The office complex will include an office for the Governor, a lounge, a multipurpose hall for banqueting, conference and other meetings, as well as offices for the various government ministries present at the regional level.

The winning entry for the Governors residence will attract prize money of D1 million (one million Dalasi) and the office complex will attract prize money of D750, 000 (seven hundred and fifty-thousand Dalasi).The competition is open to students of tertiary institutions- UTG, GTTI and other building and construction training institutions.

All entries (in soft and hardcopy) are to be addressed to the secretary General not later than 30th April, 2015.We wish all participants good luck”.
