<![CDATA[The high court has extended the receivership of Jammeh's assets for a further 180 days from the date of their expiration. A press release from the high court issued yesterday stated that “the operation of the orders of the Honourable Court dated the 22nd day of May 2017 and the 28th day of July 2017 respectively, be and are hereby extended to 180 days from the date of their expiration.” According to the release, all acts carried out by the receiver after the expiration of the orders are deemed to have been validly carried out. “…pursuant to Schedule I Order 3 Rule 5(d) of the Rules of the High Court (as amended) it is hereby ordered that the Respondent (Jammeh) herein be served with this order by substituted means by way of publication in all of the national daily newspapers that are of wide circulation within the jurisdiction for a period of three days. That the Respondent is at liberty to apply to this court to discharge or vary this order upon giving seven days' notice to the applicant. That the costs of this application be reserved,” the release added. The matter has been adjourned to Monday, 17 June 2019 at 10am for hearing.]]>
