The panel discussion was aired live on City Limits radio and featured Barrister Malick Jallow Esq., IACR president and Lawyer, Barrister Charles Thomas Esq., Executive Secretary of the National Agency for Legal Aid (NALA), former Chairperson and Defence Counsel at the Children’s Court, Mr Landing Secka, child probation officer at the Department of Social Welfare.
Also, as part of its commemoration of the CRC anniversary, IACR president has released a paper on the relevance of the Women’s Act of 2010. According to IACR president, “the paper is earmarked for sensitisation of local and opinion leaders and to help break some of the unfortunate stereotypes on the rights of women and the girl-child.
