The Gambia Immigration Department has announced it will be embarking on the enforcement of registration and document verification exercise. The justification of this exercise according a statement from the department is to promote peaceful coexistence and integration as well as promoting regularization of immigration status in the Gambia.
“As a result, all Gambians, Non Gambians, Local Authorities, various Foreign Community representatives in the Gambia , Business owners, Landlords and all relevant stake holders are urged to comply and help the department’s personnel during this important exercise,” the statement said.
GID reassured the public of its commitment towards creating a peaceful, tolerant and safe Gambian society in all strives within the confine of its mandate.
