I attended Muslim High School from where I graduated in 2008. I am the vice president of African Women Reporters Union and a resident of Tabokoto.
I have been a journalist for the past six years working as a sports reporter at City Limit and West Coast radios. I have been reporting with special attention on women in sports. Women sports has been dormant but I am doing my utmost best as a female reporter to take women sports to another level.
We have not seen lots of women venturing into sports reporting because most females have the concept that it is a male domain which is a wrong idea.
My philosophy is: Work hard, play less because the goals are high up there and we have to climb up for them.
I was fortunate to attend the African Women Sports Reporters Union seminar in Dakar which was to sensitise women on the football World Cup that was held in Germany.
I represented The Gambia in women and sports seminar which was held in Kenya and also covered the U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan.
