The Janneh Commission set up to investigate the financial dealings of former president, family and close associates may issue an arrest warrant for ‘Prince’ Ebrahim Sanyang, the managing director of Royal Africa Holdings Company Limited if he fails to honour the summon notice issued to him by the enquiry, The Standard has been reliably informed .
Mr Sanyang is being summoned in connection with eight companies, which he is managing in the country. The companies are Royal Africa Capital Holdings Limited, Africa Financial Services and Bureau De Change Limited, Africaada Airways, Kora Media Corporation Limited, Atlantic Polican Company Limited, Palm Groove Africa Development Corporations Limited, Royal Africa Securities Brokerage Limited and Africaade Insurance Company.

However, since he was served with notice of summon a fortnight ago, the official said he failed to honour the notice and has not given any tangible reason[s] for his failure to appear before the commission.
He was among the list of witnesses that supposed to testify on Tuesday but when he was called, he was no where to be found prompting the chairman of the commission to find out from the secretary to the commission whether the notice of summon was published in the newspapers.
Secretary Ramatoulie Sarr in her response intimated that the notice was published in The Point Newspaper and The Standard as well.

However when contacted by The Standard, Mr Sanyang again repeated that he did not receive an official summon. He continued in this write-up submitted to The Standard:”To my total shock, today 25th September 2018, I received calls from concern friends and families on an apparent announcement on Radio Gambia that I was invited to appear before the commission, but refused to attend. This is a false statement and does not reflect the truth. I expect the commission to do the right thing, by issuing a summon to my instance, exactly the same way it had been accorded to all other previous witnesses.

I hope this will be the end of a seemingly propaganda point scoring in the part of the commission. I am very willing to appear before your commission with a resolve to clear out the fictitious allegations against my companies.
Finally, if any summons need delivery, my usual contact numbers remain7873973, my personal number. 6331045 Seedy Darboe.”
