Dudu Kassa Jaata, the Bakau politician has reacted to the claim made by GDC that he left the party because they would not allow him to insult UDP leader Ousainou Darboe.
“That is a fabrication by MC Cham who in fact is too junior to know major decisions in the GDC. I have long and distinguished career in politics, which was based on issues and not insults,” Kassa told The Standard yesterday.
He reiterated that he never even mentioned UDP or Darboe in all the rallies he addressed from Kombo to Basse and at no time did anyone stop him from taking the microphone.
Mr Jaata added that he was made Coordinator of the GDC by Mamma Kandeh and that was even put online. He said that role effectively made him the third most important person in the party at the time.
“I don’t want to engage in personal attacks but MC Cham’s version is distorted and I wish to clarify that I have matured in politics without insults and personal attacks. I know the GDC very well and I don’t want acrimony or exchange of insults. I rest my case,” Jaata concluded.
