The Kinteh Kunda Family Association on Wednesday donated cleansing materials to the Gambia Ports Authority, GPA.
The donated materials which included moping stick, brushes, detergents, buckets and others were handed over to the GPA at a colorful ceremony held at Gambia Ports Authority premises in Banjul.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ansuman Kinteh, PRO, said the donation was meant to contribute in keeping the Kunta Kinteh ferry clean and fresh always.
He thanked the government for naming the ferry after their great hero Kunta Kinteh.
Alh Kebba Kinteh of Lamin Village also thanked President Barrow for bringing the culture of the people of Juffureh while praising ports management for the support.
Receiving the materials on behalf GPA management, Hali Abdoulie Gaye, applauded the Kinteh Kunda for taking such a bold initiative which he said is a clear indication that the Kintehs have a great concern for the ferry.
Gaye assured the association that the materials donated will be used for their intended purpose.
