Lawyers argue over poor quality of NIA interview audio

By Mafugi Ceesay

Defence Lawyer Christopher E Mene yesterday raised concern over the quality of the NIA interview audio that was played before the Banjul High Court.
The audio contained an interview with the 9 NIA officials currently on trial for the murder of Solo Sandeng in 2016.

However lawyer Mendy complained no one is able to hear what the speakers on the audio are saying, not even a sentence, noting that he does not know whether the problem is with the speakers.
Justice Kumba Sillah-Camara on her part suggested that the audio be listened to first before anything.

After the end of the session of the interview, prosecution lawyer Kombeh Gaye said not all but some parts of the two hours long audio are clear.
Hearing continues today.
