Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the senior marketing manager of the company Madam Anty Mbinko Jammeh, said the sponsorship came following a request from superintendent police Momodou Dumbuya Mballow for the Lotto Gaming to support some of their personnel to pursue their studies.

She said the sponsorship is meant to enhance the capacity of the country’s police prosecution unit.
“This is just one way of showcasing to Gambians that Lotto Gaming is more than just a gaming company; as part of our functions is to complement the efforts of the government by creating employment and as well contributing to the other developmental areas, like we do today,” she said.
She said there is no better place to contribute towards ensuring peace and tranquility than the police.
Madam Jammeh, a former inspector herself further reassured the police of her office’s continued support and collaboration.

The superintendent police officer commanding prosecution units & legal affairs, Momodou Dumbuya Mballow said when they took over the Prosecution Unit sometime in April, there were on only six police prosecutors, “the need to upgrade the unit’s human capacity was an imminent need.”

“This is the reason why we decided to seek for from Lotto Gaming to assist some of our personnel, most especially the females as we look towards filling in the gender gap,” he said.
He said the police senior management had conducted proper screening and induction courses; “and the ones selected were the lucky ones to be recommended for the scholarship package to enhance their service delivery.”

Meanwhile, Superintendent Mballow had presented a certificate of appreciation to the CEO and management of Lotto Gaming for “this laudable gesture”.
